Jeanne C. Rhoades

	Jeanne C. Rhoades, 77, of DuQuoin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2000 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
	Jeanne was a speech pathologist for the DuQuoin Dist. 300 school system.  She retired after 20 years of service.  She was a graduate of the Visitation Academy, Fontbonne College, and received her masters degree from SIU at Carbondale.
	She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin, a member of the church council, Original Lecture, First Eucharistic Minister.
	She was born July 6, 1923 at St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Berglar) Cunningham.  She married Thomas J. Rhoades on September 25, 1948 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Louis and he survives.
	She is survived by her husband of DuQuoin, one daughter, Jeanne Farley of Buffalo, New York; two sons, Richard Rhoades of Paonia, CO and Dr. Jonathan Rhoades of Auburn, Maine and three grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
	The funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 10 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.  The Rosary was said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
	Interment was in Calvary Cemetery at St. Louis, MO.
	The preferred form of rememberence can be made to Masses or the Sacred Heart Church building fund.
